Where is the justification of allowing hardcore prison inmates take college courses while a Hobo can't?
Explain this theory Mr. US Lawyer Man.
Yet another flaw in our system, where people that break the laws get a better quality of life, than someone who abides by the laws, yet is homeless. Why as a society do we stand for this?
Take away the weights, the basketball courts, the libraries...people who violate the rights of others, deserve no rights. Let them sit in their cell, like...jeez...I dunno....A prison?
Is it legal for college athletes to take cell take hardcore?
is it legal even tho it says that it never sought to get approval by the fda..if you have any answers and are certain that they are correct please help
I don't think it's legal...
Does getting into an ivy league college make you a hardcore genius?
thnx! =]
Are you serious? George Bush graduated from an Ivy League school. Half the time, getting into one just means your dad gives money to the school or you took a good SAT prep course. If neither of those is the case, it's safe to say you're well above average, but still only about a tenth of those at any ivy league uni are anything approaching geniuses, let alone hardcore geniuses.
Is it possible to become successful without going to college?
My school is hardcore catholic college prep and I'm a senior and they pretty much scare us into college. I could get into details but I'm not. It would take way too fkn long. Anyways I'm in the process of college applications ect and Its just all so stressful.

Anyways, is it possible to become successful without attending college?

My school says if you don't go to college, you will be lower class your entire life.
Surely ,i have my own business.
I'm 59 and havn't touched the physical labor part for 25 years.
How long can I go eating junk food in college?
I am a sophomore in my second semester and have been eating pretty unhealthy for my first and second year here. I mean I played sports my entire life pretty hardcore too, but in college I just kinda decided to sit back and focus on academics and eat what I want.
Eventually you'll deny your body of the vitamins and minerals it needs which will expose to any one of various preventable diseases such as diabetes, arthritis, cancer, heart disease, etc.

Sure you'll survive but you'll be running at less than full octane. Like most of America :)
Possible to play WoW and still get good grades in college?
Is it possible to play WoW yet still get good grades in college? I'm not looking to play hardcore but rather the occassional quest/chatting with guildies/small raids on weekends/PvP/etc...

Also, any tips on how I could manage my time or which class would be "easier" or less time consuming to play would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt
It's hard to play WoW for just an hour at a time, especially at higher levels. Preparing properly for an end-game raid can take 6 hours or more - not including the raid ITSELF - and in order to participate in a lot of higher-level activities, you have to remain pretty active in your guild. It's why I don't play any more.

I won't say "don't play the game" because it is an awesome game that provides a wonderful gaming experience you aren't going to find elsewhere.

I did play WoW all throughout college and graduated with very high grades, so it's not impossible. The best thing to do is to firmly remain a "casual" player. Play on the weekends or days off from class, don't get mixed up in involved raids, and stay away from "Raiding Guilds" (high level guilds who focus on raiding and pvp). There are some excellent 'casual' guilds out there. The downside of this is that you may find yourself hopping from guild to guild as guilds evolve and turn into end-game/raiding guilds, which is what tends to happen as more guild members possess several higher-level 'toons. If you can find a stable guild that manages to remain casual on a long-term basis, you're a lucky player indeed.

I managed my WoW time in college by setting an alarm to go off at a certain time (around the 3 hour mark). I've heard that the Wrath of the Lich King expansion may include a built-in timer/alarm, which would be pretty handy, but there are some UI addons that you can download from places like wowinterface.com that currently do the same thing. Remain absolutely firm about when you have to sign off. Inform guild members you may be raiding with, and party members you are questing with, of what time you plan on logging off. Try to log on and off at the same time on certain days of the week, so that guild mates and friends know when to expect you to be on. This makes it possible to participate in raids and groups that you wouldn't have gotten a chance at if people weren't so familiar with your schedule.

Most of all, if it starts taking over your life, bite the bullet and quit.
How important is a job during your high school career to college admission?
Say you spent your entire high school career taking really hardcore rigorous courses, got a great SAT score, played one sport every year, were involved in your school newspaper 1 year, and tutored the freshmen 1 year. Would a job be too important to your college admission?
I don't believe public schools can ask about employment, but I suppose private schools can.

Doubt it would matter much though unless your employer has negative things to say about you as most universities will be more concerned about your academic history. Not having a job would show that you have more time to devote to learning.
What kind of Laptop to get for a college bound student?
I'm entering college very soon, but I'm in need of a laptop? What kind of laptop and features do you recommend? And for all you MAC and APPLE lovers, I'm sorry to say that's out of the questions. I simply cannot afford it, no matter what I do. I prefer to keep everything under $1000.

I plan to hold music (a lot) and a lot of school documents. I'm not going to hold movies, play/install hardcore games, or anything big other than music.
You can get a really nice dell studio xps laptop. Prices start about
700.00-800.00. www.dell.com
Will I get into a good college if I'm not one of those really smart Asians?
I get decent grades (mostly A's, some B's), play tennis (but I'm not really on the "real" team; it's like a team below JV), and I participate in clubs, but is that enough? Since I'm Asian, I'm going to be compared to the guys who are beastly at school and play hardcore tennis and whatnot. Would the good colleges even consider me since there's so many more "qualified" Asians? I really want to get into a really good college like UPenn.
Oh yeah! You can totally get into a good college. I've been going on a lot of college tours lately, and they're really not that comparative of the races. (I wanted to know too, because my school is full of the really really smart asians!) They look at grades... yours are fine...but they also look at things about you, like that you play tennis. The whole thing colleges look for is diversity. I scuba dive, so I'm going to put that on my resume. And colleges will like something cool like that. So if you do any thing like that, be sure to include it in the application, or personal statement, and colleges absolutely love guys who volunteer, so if you could find somewhere that you like to volunteer, colleges would consider that the equivalent to those really smart guy's grades. Cuz those really smart guys probably don't volunteer anywhere... or at least my school's guys don't. (unless it's mandatory for a club). Anyway, I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure you'll be able to get into UPenn.
Is it common for alot of high school and college students to do some hardcore drugs?
like i hear from some of my friends that they snort crack just whenever they feel like it, ive heard of people talk about how meth makes you feel as if it was normal to just do it few times. i hear of people casually carring around extasy , i guess like how common is it for people to do hardcore drugs like that just somtimes, and what kind of hardcore drugs would that be? i wouldnt never trying anything other that alcohol because i have to many problems and would be afraid i might get hooked on somthing.
I heard about it a lot more in high school then in college. I think that might be because if they are doing hardcore drugs they probably don't go to class or didn't enroll at all. But in high school I knew many people who experimented with hardcore drugs. I also knew more people then I can count on my hands and feet that regularly did meth.
I also think that smoking weed becomes more and more common when you get into college. Or at least people are open about them smoking.
